I'm a big fan of the content recycling idea. One of the best explanations of the practice I heard was from Nicolas Cole. He mentioned that if you write a big enough library of timeless pieces, you can come back to republish improved versions of your older pieces. He said each piece is an investment in your portfolio to eventually require again later. I love that perspective.

Trying to implement this myself, I found that I had about 100-150 pieces in my portfolio. Most of the them were not timeless and suitable for republishing. But I found a few old classics that were. Keeping one eye on this moving forward, I hope to see the practice come through!

That's a great way to think about it. The most successful rock bands out there are touring with mostly old content. There's some new stuff mixed in, but people love the classics!
