Organic (is out of) Reach
Google lives at the heart of so much of what we do as marketers. But if you look at how Google has been evolving, it turns out Google is no longer pretending to be in the business of helping website owners. Google is more interested in keeping visitors on its own properties than driving traffic to your site.
Ross Simmonds, co-founder of Foundation Marketing and Hustle & Grind, recently sat down with HubSpot’s CMO, Kipp Bodner, and SVP of Marketing, Kieran Flanegan, on their new podcast, Marketing Against the Grain, to go over what to do now that organic reach is becoming more limited by the day.
There was so much great information shared in that episode that I considered breaking this into two separate issues. Instead, I took one narrative and ran with it. I recommend the full episode if you want to learn how communities and Web3 will help overcome the challenges created by Google’s change in SERP.
